It is
very easy to install Bluetooth in your vehicle with a rear view
mirror device. Because the laws concerning driving while talking on
cell phones have changed over the years, more people are investing
in Bluetooth technology so they can talk without having to hold
their phone. This helps people pay more attention to the roads and
less on finding a strong signal or trying to hear people clearly.
Bluetooth technology also allows people to keep both hands on the
steering wheel when driving.
COMPATIBILITY
Before
purchasing any hands-free device, you should make sure that your
cell phone, headsets, and other devices are Bluetooth compatible. In
order to use this short range signal, all devices must be able to
connect with each other. If you don’t have a cell phone with
Bluetooth, consider upgrading. You may not have much choice if
driving laws have changed in your area.
Once
have a cell phone with Bluetooth, you can purchase a device. Most
rear view hands-free devices are compatible with iPods, MP3 players,
and wireless headsets. This means you can listen to music you have
downloaded or use a headset when talking on the phone.
HANDS-FREE DEVICE INSTALLATION
It is
very easy to install a hands-free device that relies on Bluetooth
technology. If you purchase a device that attaches to your rear view
mirror, it should only take a few seconds to attach. Once the device
is attached, you can turn it on and program it to fit your
lifestyle.
You may
need to synch it to your cell phone, but this is very easy as most
rear view mirror devices instantly recognize other devices that use
Bluetooth. Included with the device is an instructional manual that
can help you connect to your cell phone.
PROGRAMMING YOUR NEW HANDS-FREE DEVICE
Programming your new device is also easy. You will be able to enter
all phone numbers that are already in your cell phone quickly. If
you have the voice activation feature on your cell phone, you can
also use it with your new device. Create voice tags as you would on
your cell phone to use when driving.
If you
don’t have voice activation, you can program phone numbers in the
order you want them to be in so they are easy to find. Control
buttons are conveniently located in the front of the device.
In
addition to programming phone numbers, you can assign special ring
tones to identify who is calling.

LIFE AND OTHER INFORMATION
Unless
you pay to have a hands-free device installed in your car, you will
have to rely on rechargeable batteries. These batteries have a life
of one week or more depending on how often you use the device.
Included is a charger/adaptor so you can recharge the batteries when
they need it.
A rear
view mirror device is an affordable alternative to those who want to
create a hands-free environment in their vehicle, but who cannot
spend money or time having a device installed.
After
installing and programming your new hands-free device, you should be
able to begin using it.
